Terms of Service — Reel Collector

Effective Date: May 28, 2026

1. About This Document

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the conditions under which Reel Collector, a personal content scheduling tool, is operated. Reel Collector is a single-user tool maintained by the owner of the TikTok account @bus_lab_chitose (“the Operator”). It is not a public-facing service.

These Terms primarily serve to document the scope, limits, and responsibilities surrounding the Service for the benefit of platform reviewers, partners, and any party investigating its operation.

2. Scope of the Service

Reel Collector performs the following functions on behalf of the Operator only:

  • Generating draft video scripts for the Operator’s review.
  • Composing finished short-form videos from the Operator’s own assets and authorized resources.
  • Maintaining a local ledger of produced and posted content.
  • Authenticating with connected platforms (TikTok, Meta) via OAuth 2.0, with consent explicitly granted by the Operator.
  • Publishing the Operator’s own videos to the Operator’s own accounts via the platforms’ official APIs.
  • Retrieving the Operator’s own engagement metrics from connected platforms.

The Service has no end-user-facing interface. There are no signups, no third-party accounts, and no shared infrastructure.

3. Eligibility and Operator Responsibility

The Operator is solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all content published through the Service complies with the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service of each connected platform, including TikTok and Meta.
  • Holding all necessary rights to the content posted, including any audio, video, imagery, and accompanying text.
  • Adhering to applicable laws, including but not limited to advertising disclosure laws, copyright law, consumer protection regulations, and tax obligations associated with any commercial activity referenced in the content.
  • Maintaining the security of the device on which the Service runs and the credentials it uses.

4. Acceptable Use

The Service must not be used to:

  • Publish content that violates the Community Guidelines of any connected platform.
  • Impersonate other persons or entities.
  • Spam, scrape, or harvest data from other users or accounts.
  • Engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior, artificial engagement, or manipulation of platform algorithms.
  • Circumvent rate limits, audit requirements, or other API restrictions imposed by connected platforms.
  • Distribute malware, phishing material, or unlawful content.

Use of the Service in violation of these conditions is considered misuse and is the Operator’s sole responsibility.

5. Platform Compliance

The Operator acknowledges that:

  • Connected platforms may change their APIs, rate limits, or policies at any time, and the Service must adapt accordingly.
  • TikTok’s Content Posting API requires applications to display certain creator information (such as username and avatar) before posting, where applicable. The Service complies with these UX requirements.
  • Platform-level rate limits, such as TikTok’s documented limits of six requests per minute per access token and twenty-five publish actions per account per day, are respected by the Service.
  • The Service will cease operating with a platform if access is revoked, either by the Operator or by the platform itself.

6. Content Ownership

All content created and published through the Service remains the property of the Operator. The Service does not claim any ownership of the Operator’s work and does not retain copies of published content beyond what is necessary for the Service’s internal ledger.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an “as-is” basis. No warranty, either expressed or implied, is offered regarding uptime, accuracy, completeness, fitness for any particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Operator uses the Service entirely at their own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no person involved in maintaining the Service shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service, including but not limited to lost engagement, missed posts, account suspensions, data loss, or business interruption.

9. Termination

The Operator may cease using the Service at any time by revoking OAuth consent on the connected platforms and discontinuing local execution of the Service. Connected platforms may also revoke the Service’s access at their sole discretion, in which case the Service will cease operating with that platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in the Service’s scope, the connected platforms’ requirements, or applicable law. The “Effective Date” at the top of this document will be updated accordingly.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan, where the Operator resides. Any disputes arising in connection with the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over the Operator’s place of residence in Japan.

12. Contact

For inquiries about these Terms, please contact the Operator via direct message on TikTok at @bus_lab_chitose.
